Córdoba, with the help of Donavon Frankenreiter, Project Blue, and the Action Sports Group (publishers of magazines like Surfer and Surfing) has had a major showing at the US Open of Surfing's final weekend kickoff.

Yesterday, Donavon played his custom-painted 55FCE at the official VIP athlete house, and last night at the insane 1-year anniversary project BLUE party (the police tried to break it up at one point).

Check out the pictures of Donny at the VIP house yesterday - pictures and video from the rest of the event are coming soon.

The new site has finally launched.  It's been a long process--long and long, in fact.  But I feel confident when I write that there is nothing quite like it in the world of guitars.

The new site is the most recent effort of the Córdoba team to create the best and most unique nylon-string guitar brand--I like to think of the it as active lifestyle meets great indie music meets bohemian fashion meets the best in guitar craftsmanship.  Sound a little confused?  Maybe to the outsider looking in, but each piece of the puzzle has been carefully thought out.

Córdoba is the only non-traditional nylon string guitar brand in existence, the traditional focus being on classical or Spanish-style music.  You won't find any other guitar maker in Córdoba's market working with musicians like José González, Chris Funk, or Donavon Frankenreiter.  The site will eventually be full of multimedia related to the artists working with the company.  And on the immediate horizon, Córdoba will become the first guitar company to seriously approach the juggernaut that is the surfing market with the signature Donavon Frankenreiter La Playa series.

The most exciting factoid of all is this: Córdoba is just getting started.  It's only going to get bigger and better from here.  This little blog will feature regular posts from musicians, Córdoba team members... and me every so often, filling you in on some little piece of randomness.

That's it for now.
